Orangie Nell Tillman

Orangie Nell Tillman, daughter of the late Nathaniel Drain and Tommie Coffey Drain, was born on May 5, 1938, in Eupora, Mississippi. She passed away on March 19, 2025, in San Antonio, TX at the age of 86.

On November 11, 1954, she married the love of her life, Evans Develt Tillman, in Hernando, MS. Their union lasted over 50 years until his passing in 2006.

She was preceded in death by her son James Tillman; brothers Thomas and Nathaniel Drain; sisters Mary Brooks and Dottie Clark; granddaughter Betty Payne and great grandson DeAdrean Grissom.

She leaves to cherish her memory five sons: Calvin Tillman of Steele, MO, Nathaniel Tillman of Champaign, IL, Tommy (Teri)Tillman of Montgomery, AL, Evans Tillman Jr., and Mark Tillman of Columbia, MO; six daughters: Orangie (Isaac) Green of Lilbourn, MO, Joyce Givens of New Madrid, MO, Kerrie Tillman of Columbia, MO, Shirley Jones, Karen (Van) Robert, and Zena (James) Holmes of San Antonio TX. One sister: Nancy Floyd of Jackson, TN and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Orangie's life was rooted in faith, family, and love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Friends may call Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Life Changers Ministries located at 320 Coleman Ave in Lilbourn, Missouri. Interment will immediately follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Malden with the Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
