Pearllean Maggie Howard

May 29, 1930 — May 21, 2019

Pearllean Maggie Howard, 88, resident of Carbondale, Illinois died, Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at her home.  She was born May 29, 1930 in Grady, Arkansas to the late Willie "Buddy" Patterson and Pearline Matthews Patterson.

She was united in marriage to John Howard in Charleston, Missouri.  He precedes her in death.

She was on the Mother's Board at Nu Life Christian Fellowship while living in Austin, Texas.

Pearllean loved singing and dancing.  She was an intelligent lady, who worked in health care.  She enjoyed being a Certified Nurses' Assistant and working in the home health field.  She attended Shawnee Community College.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, her son, Tony Patterson, her daughter, Betty Anderson, one daughter-in-law, Roxie Anderson, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

She is survived by five sons, James Anderson of East Prairie, Missouri, Woodrow Anderson of Charleston, Missouri, Eddie Anderson of Sikeston, Missouri, Lawrence (Sundi) Anderson of Yuma, Arizona, and Marshall Anderson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, seven daughters, Rosie Townsend of Carbondale, Illinois, Peggy Anderson of Charleston, Missouri, Patsy Anderson, Pearllean Anderson, and Shirley Anderson of Sikeston, Missouri, Joyce Anderson of North Carolina, and Vinna Anderson of Dyersburg, Tennessee, one brother, Reverend Joe (Gloria)  Patterson of  Atlanta, Georgia and one sister, Earlene (Charles) Booker of Chicago, Illinois, 52 grandchildren, 119 great grandchildren, and 20 great great grandchildren.

Friends may call Friday, May 31, 2019 from 12:00 P. M. until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Arthur Cassell officiating.  Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Missouri
