Quintella Louise Davis

Quintella Louise Davis, 91, resident of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Charleston, Missouri died Friday, March 1, 2019 at her home.  She was born October 22, 1927 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Bennie Dawson and Dorothy Cousins Bacon.

She was a member of Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston, Missouri where she served on the Hospitality Committee and was a retired home health aide.

On April 24, 1943, she was united in marriage to John Henry Davis, Sr., who precedes her in death. One daughter, Equilla Davis, also precedes her in death.

She is survived by five sons, John Henry (Louise) Davis Jr. and James (Christine) Davis of Chicago, Illinois, Gregory Davis and Oscar Davis of Columbia, Missouri, and Ronnie (Candice) Davis of Lavergne, Tennessee, five daughters, Anna Marie (Jesse) Davis and Winnie Pierce of Chicago, Illinois,  Janie (Floyd) McGill of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Dorothy (David) Scruggs of Antioch, Tennessee, three  stepdaughters, Bertha Lee Winston of Chicago, Illinois, Avery Davis of Detroit, Michigan, and Delores Matthews of Texas, a devoted aunt, Myrtle Hogains,18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, cousins, and friends.

Friends may call Friday, March 8, 2019 from 6:00 P. M. - 8:00 P. M. at Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston, Missouri where funeral services will be Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 12:00 noon with the pastor, Superintendent  Steve Betts, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Missouri. The Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
