Raymond Jackson

Raymond Jackson, affectionately known as “Lil' Raymond” or “Ray J” was born November 26, 1976 in Hayti, MO to the late Barbara Jean Marsh and Raymond Charles Bledsoe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Marsh and Raymond Bledsoe; grandparents, Henry Finley, Clatteea (Bledsoe) Thomas and Floyd Thomas; and one sister, Pertice Jackson. Raymond received Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He passed away at the age of 46 at Southeast Hospital surrounded by his loved ones after a battle with cancer.

Raymond had an infectious smile and a personality that drew people to him. There was never a dull moment when he was around. Some of his favorite things to do were to play basketball and football, draw, listen to music, and spend time with his kids. His favorite sports teams were the Saint Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs, and he was a diehard Chicago Bulls fan.

He leaves to cherish his memory: stepmother, Paulette Bledsoe, fiancée, Chiquita Bell, six siblings: Lee (Lisa) Jackson, Irving, TX; Rhonda Boyd and Shawn (Kyra) Young of Lilbourn, MO; Monroe Young, Sikeston, MO; Latiece (Phillip) Brooks, Howardville, MO; Tenisha (Lee Anthony) Nelson, New Madrid, MO: 21 children - 10 boys: Donovan Roberts, Bloomington, III.; Jamarri Jones, Howardville, MO; Rae'Quan Davis, Columbia, MO; Tyrae Jackson, Raymond Jackson, Jr. Ray'Von Jackson, Shon’Tez Jackson, Quincy Holmes, Damion Holmes, all of Cape Girardeau, MO; and Javin Hitchcock, Jackson, MO. 11 girls: Ciairah (Rocal) Mason, Columbia, MO; Teajah Rae Smith, Kansas City, MO; Janyia Bell, Rayanna Jackson, Ra'Ziah Jackson, Ny'Raiah Jackson, Na’Tayvia Moore, LeAisia Holmes, Kenylee Bird, Rilee Blacksure, all from Cape Girardeau, MO; Yolana-Rae Jamison, Jonesboro, AR. Along with 16 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, and a special friend, Jessica Holmes.

Friends may call Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Life Changers Restoration Ministries in Lilbourn, Missouri with Pastor Earl Grissom officiating. The Williams Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
