Reginald E. Wilkins was born August 29, 1975 in Chicago, Illinois to George and Ida Stevens Wilkins.
His family relocated to southeast Missouri in 1982 and he began his formal education at Lee Hunter Elementary. He grew up in Haywood City, Missouri where he attended Scott County Central High School before moving to Washington, Missouri. He brought his cheerful and charismatic personality to Schicker Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram (formerly known as Barreth Chrysler). He dedicated himself to a career in sales for over 20 years.
Reggie's greatest moment in life came in his early 30's with the birth of his first and only child, a son he affectionately called 'Junior'. Reggie proudly embraced fatherhood with a gentle and protective hand that was nothing short of admirable. Being Junior’s father was his greatest joy. It was a gift from God that he cherished immensely.
Reggie departed this life on August 4, 2023, a few weeks shy of his 48th birthday at the county fair in Washington, Missouri with his Junior at his side. Reggie's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
Reggie was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers, Anthony Stevens and Marcus Wilkins.
He leaves to cherish fond memories his Junior, Razhae Anthony Wilkins of Waynesville, Missouri, one sister, Tarra (Christopher) Wilkins-Bell of Columbia Missouri, three nephews, Derrick Blackmon, Jr and Devin Weakley of Columbia Missouri, and Mareke McKinney of Sikeston, Missouri, one niece, Heaven Bell of Columbia, Missouri, two very special aunts, Laura Williamson of Sikeston, Missouri and Evelyn Stevens of St. Louis Missouri, his fav, Latwanya Williams of St. Louis Missouri, as well as a host of family and friends who were touched by his by his presence.
Friends may call Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral time of 12:00 noon at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston, Missouri with Apostle Regina Rodgers of Agape Love Kingdom Ministries officiating.
