Robert Eddie Robinson

April 1, 1945 — December 6, 2020

Robert Eddie Robinson, 75, resident of Lilbourn, Missouri died Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Missouri.  He was born April 1, 1945 in Gary Indiana to the late William Ed Robinson and Ardella Glenn Robinson.

He attended Howardville High School and graduated in 1965.

Robert enlisted in the United States Air Force in July 1965.  After serving his country honorably as a Fuel Specialist, he received his discharge in 1968.

He married Irma Smith and to this union four children were born.

Robert was a great dad.  He worked hard to provide for them.  He retired as a Greyhound Bus Driver after 20 years. He also worked a number of jobs.  He enjoyed farm work for a while, and he even worked at Chrysler in Detroit, Michigan for a number of years.

Vacations were the best for them.  Some of their travels included California, Las Vegas, Sea World and Disney Land.

Fishing, shooting pool, playing dominos, and listening to music are some of the ways he liked to relax. He was outgoing and enjoyed making others laugh. Robert had a great heart.  He was truly loved by the community and his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Henry "Jimmy" Robinson, and his sister, Charlene Gafford.

He is survived by his wife, Irma Robinson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, two sons, Terence (Njeri) Robinson of Jacksonville, Florida and Lee (Angela) Robinson of Lilbourn, Missouri, three daughters, Tamela (John) Waters of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Renata Vaughen of West Memphis, Arkansas, and Falencia Moore of St. Peters, Missouri, one sister, Georgia Burks of Chicago, Illinois, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives.

Friends may call Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 11:00 am until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Life Changers Restoration Ministries in Lilbourn, Missouri with Minister Dee Moore officiating.  Interment will follow in Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron, Missouri with full military honors.  The Williams Funeral Homes of Howardville is in charge of arrangements.
