Ronnie Hubrins was born May 16, 1962 in Lilbourn, Missouri, the son of Nathan and Suzanna Norwood Hubrins, who both preceded him in death. He was one of 16 children, nine boys and seven girls. He is preceded in death by one son, Angelo Hubrins, four brothers, Robert, Eddie, Nathan, and Earnest Hubrins, and three sisters, Everlena Jones, Airlean Williams, and Rose Porter. Ronnie was of the Baptist faith and had his own personal relationship with the Lord. He was a graduate of Malden High School class of 1981. During his high school years, he played basketball. Ronnie joined the Navy immediately after high school in June 1981 and after serving 22 years, he decided to retire. While active, Ronnie received many awards including the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4), the Navy Unit Commendation, the Navy āEā Ribbon (2), 6th Good Conduct Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal (2), the Navy Expeditionary Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3), and the Marksman Pistol. While serving his country he found the love of his life, which he said was his California Girl, Mrs. Pricilla Jenkins Hubrins. After dating for four years, she later became his wife on June 26, 1986. To this union two sons were born, Angelo and Anthony Hubrins. Ronnie was a storm chaser. He knew the weather conditions before they happened. He would call his loved ones to warn them and make sure they were safe. Ronnie was also an avid sports fan. He loved the San Francisco 49ers and his New Madrid County Central Eagles. Some of his hobbies included baseball, basketball, and pool. He enjoyed having a good time. In addition to his wife and son, he leaves to cherish his precious memories five grandchildren, Alexis Brooks, Malaysia Brown, Ameerah Brooks, Imani Brooks, and D.J. Jones, five great-grandchildren, Malcolm and Maejor Norris, Anyla, Dakota, Jr., and Maliyak Jenkins, five brothers, Matt (Henrietta) Hubrins, Steve (Kathy) Hubrins, Mike (Betty) Hubrins, and Willie (Marie) Hubrins, four sisters, Elnora Robinson, Gloria Hubrins, Karen Hubrins, and Judith Hubrins and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Friends may call Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Life Changers Restoration Ministries in Lilbourn, Missouri with Associate Pastor Demetrius Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron, Missouri with full military honors. The Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
