Roxie Maria Cross

Roxie Maria Cross was born May 1, 1948 in Wolf Island, Missouri to Homer and Mildred Cross.  She passed away, Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She lived in Alton, Illinois with her husband, Jessie Hicks and her four children, Beverly, Jessie, Jr., Angela  and Felisha  Hicks.

Roxie was baptized in Jesus name and received the Holy Ghost in Alton, Illinois under the leadership of Elder Miller D. Moore.

She moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where she lived out the rest of her life as a nurse  and a loving grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Home and Mildred Cross and her younger brother, Ralph Edward Cross.

She leaves behind her four children, 13 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.  Roxie also leaves 12 living siblings, Kathleen (Joe) Rimmer, Homer T. (Angie) Cross, Beverly Cross, Arthur T. Cross, James Terry Cross, Robert Lee (Christina0 Cross, John Thomas (Kathy) Cross, Vanessa Pearl Cross, Marsha Ann Cross, Raymond Phillip Cross and Lena Nelson.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at the Walker Funerals & Cremations - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will be Friday, May 4, 2018 at 2:00 P. M. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston, Missouri with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of local arrangements
