Sammie Lee Applewhite

Sammie Lee Applewhite was born June 27, 1983 in Sikeston, Missouri to Irene Applewhite and Sammie Lee Gipson.

In his younger years, Sammie was very witty and loved joking around.  He also enjoyed  riding his bicycle and listening to music.   He will be  remembered mostly for his quick wit and sense of humor.

Sammie will be greatly missed by all who came to know him.

On Sunday, June 16, 2019 Sammie transitioned from this world to his heavenly home, while at his residence in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 35 years, 11 months and 20 days.  He has found sweet rest and everlasting peace and joy.

Sammie leaves to cherish precious memories, his mother, Irene Applewhite of Sikeston, Missouri, his father, Sammie Lee Gipson of Wardell, Missouri, his brother, Billy Applewhite of Hayti, Missouri, his sister, Adrena Katrice Applewhite of Sikeston, Missouri, and a host of uncles, aunts,  nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Friends may call Friday, June 28, 2019, from 4:00 pm until the funeral hour of 5:00 pm at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston, Missouri with Minister Sharl A. Flowers_ officiating.
