Sammy Lee Williams, Jr. was born April 21, 1982 in Sikeston, Missouri to Sammie Lee Williams, Sr. and Jacqueline Elaine Frederick Watson. His mother and grandmother, Mary Frederick, preceded him in death.
Sammy attended Freedom House Ministries in Cape Girardeau under the leadership of Pastor William Rogers.
He graduated from Sikeston High School in Sikeston, Missouri.
On August 3, 2018, Sammy married his love, Colinthia Lampkin, in Sikeston, Missouri. They were soulmates. He loved his wife, children, and his family dearly.
Sammy was a hard worker. He was currently employed at ABM Industries where he took pride in providing janitorial services at Southeast Missouri State University. He had previously worked at Tyson Foods as a supervisor for several years.
Sammy was a gentle giant. He fit in everywhere he went. He loved traveling and didn’t mind doing the driving. He enjoyed listening to music, hanging out and kicking it with the fellas, and playing cards. He would watch sports and his favorite team would be the team that was winning. He could be found on his game or playing cards in his down time. Sammy had swag and he liked his fashion and shoes.
He was called home unexpectedly to be with the Lord on January 29, 2024 at the age of 41 years, nine months, and eight days.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Colinthia Williams of the home, his father, Sammy Lee (Channon) Williams, Sr. of Ripley, Mississippi, his son, Sammie Lee Williams, III of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, his daughters, Lauren Elaine Williams of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Savannah Williams of Dexter, Missouri, his goddaughter, Riyae Walton of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, his stepchildren, Orlando Lee, Jr. of Howardville, Missouri, Damarrious Lee, Deneisha Clemons, and Cierra Lee all of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Rachell Mitchell of Abilene, Texas, his brothers, Dennis Williams of St. Louis, Missouri and Jermaine Williams of New Albany, Mississippi, his sisters, Chickila Williams and Crystal Williams of Hickory Flat, Mississippi, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
