Tamora Wilson, 22, resident of Sikeston, Missouri passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at her grandmother's home surrounded by family after her year long battle and strong fight with Ewing's Sarcoma. She was born August 4, 1995 in Lansing, Michigan to Tonya Florence of Sikeston, Missouri and Reginald Wilson of Lansing, Michigan.
She was a graduate of Sikeston High School Class of 2014 where she was an honor student. She was currently enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri where she was on the Dean's List. She was on course to graduate in May 2018.
Tamora was a very intelligent young lady with an odd sense of humor. She touched so many people in so many ways, especially in the past year. She was an avid reader, very well known at Barnes and Noble. She also loved animals, a variety genre of music, knitting, that she taught herself to do and enjoyed teaching her friends, and playing Scrabble.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by four sisters, Tyesha Florence of Morrow, Georgia, Takarra Wilson, Destiny Wilson and Dymon Wilson of Lansing, Michigan, grandparents, Lillie Florence of Sikeston, Missouri and Erma Chastine of Lansing, Michigan, her godmother, Joyce Robinson of Portage, Michigan, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Friday, March 9, 2018 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Karlye Barnes, Jr. of Grand Avenue Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating.
