Wardell Coleman, Jr.

November 3, 1970 — June 5, 2023

Wardell Coleman, Jr., affectionately known as Bo, was born November 3, 1970 in Charleston, Missouri. Wardell departed this life on Monday, June 5, 2023 at the St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 52 years, four months, and 28 days. He is preceded in death by his father, Wardell Coleman, Sr. and oldest brother, Minister Lee Arthur Treadwell.

Wardell graduated from Charleston High School in 1989. After graduation he worked several jobs in food service. He also worked at Lee Rowan Rubbermaid in Jackson, Missouri and at Unilever in Sikeston, Missouri. He believed in working and making an honest living, which he instilled in his own children. His hobbies include watching sports, hanging out with his buddies, cutting hair, keeping himself groomed, and spending time with his children.

On February 8, 2015, he married Amy Moore of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and to this union three children were born. Wardell thought the world of his children, always bragging on them. He supported his children in whatever school function they were involved in, always encouraging them to do their best. Even though his demeanor was quiet, his family meant everything to him.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Amy, three children, Brenden, Breven, and Breyanah all of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, his beautiful mother, Dorothy Coleman of Charleston, Missouri, five sisters, Teresa (Donald) Black and Melissa (Tyrone) Taylor both of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Denurah (Timothy) Scott of Roseville, Michigan, Judy Lyons of Bloomington, Illinois, and Diane (Andre) Burby of Deridder, Louisiana, two special aunts, Verniece Ivy and Juanita Jefferson both of Charleston, Missouri, one special uncle, Richard (Peggy) Douglas of Newbern, Tennessee, a special friend, Kiesha Robinson of St. Louis, Missouri, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and all the fellas on the front porch.

Friends may call Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 11:00 A.M. at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with Superintendent Steve Betts officiating and Elder Elvin Greer eulogizing. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
