Willis Visor, 77, resident of Charleston, Missouri, died Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was born May 28, 1945 in Batesville, Mississippi to the late Lura and Alzadie Kuykendall Visor.
He worked at G&H Home Furnishings in Charleston, Missouri during the 80’s until he retired in 2006. While there, Willis delivered and set up furniture.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He had a passion for helping others and would do anything for his family. Willis will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Percy Visor, Sr., Larry Visor, and Roosevelt Visor, and his sisters, Julia Pearl Visor, Ann Cartwright, Edith Mae Woodard, Francis Burk, Bonnie Faye Witt, Emma Earby, and Mary Ann Edwards.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories one son, Willis Visor, Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, one daughter, Carolyn Visor of Akron, Ohio, his stepchildren, Bobby Dexter of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Alicia (Linard) Thomas of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, his sisters-in-law, Doretha Visor of Charleston, Missouri and Emma Visor of St. Louis, Missouri, four grandchildren, six step grandchildren, four great grandchildren, his godson, Cortez Blanchard of St. Louis, Missouri, his special friends, Roger Robinson, Otha “Mr. Lee” Howard, and Kenneth Smith and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Friends may call Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Arthur Cassell officiating.
